Target Socket
Here's the schematic for the target socket. It should be pretty easy to work up an in-circuit
programming header, but I have not used that technique, so I left it out. Just to be sure
there are no transistions on the clock in (pin 16 on the 18 pin packages), I ground it.
This programmer will work with the PICs that have more than 18 pins, they just have a
different layout for their pins. There is consistency among the packages, so you just need
to keep these connections straight.
- Vpp: to /MCLR
- Data I/O to RB7
- Data Clock to RB6
- Vdd to device power
You can probably leave out the grounding of pin 16 (clock in), I have it there mostly for my
peace of mind.
